Like Auguste and his white clown, Emma la clown and pianist Nathalie Miravette pay a laughing, tender tribute to the great singer Anne Sylvestre, whom they both knew and admired. Singer Juliette directs this clownish tour de chant, adding her own touch of subtlety to this emotional rendezvous.

Emma la clown, alias Meriem Menant, is without doubt Anne Sylvestre?s most fervent admirer! She loves her more than anything else in the world, and still can?t console herself for her passing. So, to find her one last time, she takes her place on stage to sing her most beautiful songs. After all, she knows her idol?s repertoire of two hundred and fifty compositions by heart!
At her side is Nathalie Miravette herself. She has accompanied Anne Sylvestre at the piano for ten years of great complicity. Last season, audiences in La Rochefort were delighted to discover her as the revue leader of Les Voluptueuses, a cabaret of naughty songs.
Anne Sylvestre was a great fan of Emma?s character, regularly inviting her to open her shows. With clownish awkwardness, but above all with fervor, humor and tenderness, Emma la clown pays a vibrant tribute to the woman whose Fabulettes cradled her childhood and stimulated her imagination, and whose songs awakened her conscience and feminist convictions. When her enthusiasm overflows, her stage partner reframes her, like a white clown lecturing his august self. Because Nathalie Miravette is also a clown!
Their duet is unrivalled in letting us hear again and again the magnificent lyrics of Anne Sylvestre?s songs, carried by refined melodies. Singer Juliette adds her own touch of subtlety to this laugh-out-loud tribute.
