The Centre culturel des Fosses d'Enfer invites you to an exceptional evening of Caribbean rhythms. Thanks to a partnership with the Bibliothèque Départementale du Calvados, three concert broadcasts from the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris catalog will be offered this year.

The first of these evenings will take place in Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne, with a concert by the Wemileré group, born in Havana around the powerful Afro-Cuban liturgical drums, the batas. This musical group offers a vibrant journey into the heart of Cuba?s sonic traditions, combining spirituality, energy and cultural fusion.

Following the screening, musician Philippe Guitton will lead a discussion on Afro-Cuban music. He will also offer a demonstration of percussion instruments emblematic of this region of the world.

A moment rich in discovery and sharing, open to all. Admission free.
