The commune of Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne, in partnership with several local organizations, is organizing the Fête de la Nature on Saturday, May 24, starting at 10am at La Forge? Espace de Vie Rurale, 10 Place de la Mairie.

This festive, family-friendly day will feature a wide range of events, workshops, exhibitions and meetings to help you learn about and appreciate the natural world around you.

Stands and permanent activities :

Recognition of birds, traces and signs of presence, rejection pellets, proposed by the CPIE des Collines Normandes

Discover mammals with the Groupe Mammalogique Normand (GMN)

Information and documentation on the hedgerow planting program, by the Communauté de Communes Cingal Suisse Normande

Educational games on waste management, offered by the Communauté de Communes Cingal Suisse Normande

Photographic exhibition on ponds and underwater habitats, presented by the Conservatoire d?Espaces Naturels (CEN)

Tour of local ponds (map available at the CEN stand)

Highlights :

11am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 3:30pm: "pond discovery" outings led by the Conservatoire d?Espaces Naturels

2 - 3:30 pm: "Discovering melliferous plants" workshop with API Potager (meeting at 1:45 pm at La Forge - places are limited, registration recommended with La Forge)

4pm: "Contanimo" show, presented by Compagnie M?O. This 55-minute musical show for the whole family features two artists telling tales of animals and wisdom

A refreshment stand and crêpes will be available throughout the day, run by the association "Les Amis de la Forge".
