  • A Romanian-born violinist and classically trained virtuoso, Costel Nitescu made his debut at the age of 16 as first violin in the gypsy section of the Bucharest National Radio Orchestra, collaborating with the likes of Toni Iordache. A master of Eastern European music and gypsy jazz, he plays with deep soul and devastating swing, often compared to his idol Stéphane Grappelli, whose elegance he perpetuates with brio.
