"Using drawing, engraving and collage, I explore the superimposition of planes and their relationships, creating scenes that accumulate and interpenetrate. They form an enigmatic narrative that questions the different strata of reality. My process is influenced by the Surrealists, where randomness blends with a kind of narrative necessity. My approach manifests itself as a metaphor frozen in time, a pause where the viewer is confronted with an autonomous, mysterious scene. This scene, like a photograph that was never taken, evokes an autonomy in an indefinite space-time, inviting reflection on fragmented histories and identities in constant deconstruction. I don?t adopt the usual deconstruction, but prefer collage to diversify my sources in order to realize a promise of unity. This process is both necessary and desperate, as it turns out that things don't always come together as we'd like. I explore the question of the armor of appearances, suggesting that, in the relationship between set and body, it is difficult to determine who supports the other.
My work questions the gravity of human existence, evoking an austere theater where discourses on reality get in the way of the real. Through collage and staging, a narrative form asserts itself, accounting for the temporal existence of human beings and their environment, while constantly questioning the limits of perception and interpretation.
I dialogue with the past and the present, revisiting art history and reinterpreting artistic references in a contemporary context. This interplay between different eras underscores the way in which narratives feed off each other, highlighting the complexity of human experience and femininity, as well as the emotions that accompany them."
